No Never Again

So many times I stepped aside
Accepted heartbreak with wounded pride
Lowering my head in a humble bow
Made to myself this solemn vow
Saying "No Never Again"
Will this heart allow love in

But time after time I did repent
With the cost greater at each relent
Falling headlong into the next whirlwind
Caught in the gravity of its furious spin
Hit by an uppercut taking it on the chin
Vowing to myself "No Never Again"

Once more love cast its bewitching spells
Head in the clouds and hearing wedding bells
Knowing this time it had to be right
But left alone at the altar a miserable sight
Denied a vow of promise to take
"No Never Again" this vow I make
